Over the last couple of weeks, we’ve been facilitating a series of workshops around the country for the National Research Foundation (NRF). The main purpose of these workshops is to introduce Small, Medium and Micro Enterprises who operate in industries that could benefit from Science, Engineering and Technology research to the THRIP programme (an initiative sponsored by the DTI). We’d like to invite you to attend the final workshop this week, if your business could benefit from such research.
In essence the NRF act as relationship brokers between small companies, larger organisations and Universities/Research organisations. They also provide access to DTI research funding so that small companies, who cannot afford to have their own R&D departments, can access the research necessary to grow their businesses. The NRF is hosting these workshops to listen to the SMME’s, gain a perspective on their needs and find ways of improving THRIP to make it more accessible to smaller companies.
The final workshop is being held on Tuesday the 30th of March at the NRF offices in Pretoria. So, if you own or work for an SMME in industries such as alternative energy, agriculture, ICT or any other industry that could benefit from Science, Engineering or Technology research, please join us on Tuesday to find out how you can benefit from the THRIP programme. Also feel free to pass the information on to your network.
The workshop is free and is scheduled from 10:00 to 14:00 on Tuesday 30 March, at the NRF auditorium in Pretoria (you can find a map here)
Please RSVP to Etresia du Plessis. Email: Etresia@nrf.ac.za. Cell number 079 306 0242.
We hope to see you there!
